Terms of Service

1. The marketplace

RentACleaner helps customers find, communicate with and book independent cleaners. Cleaners provide services as independent businesses. RentACleaner is not their employer and does not itself provide cleaning services unless a listing expressly says otherwise.

2. Accounts and eligibility

Keep your account information accurate and your credentials secure. You must be legally able to enter the booking contract in your country. Do not create an account for another person without authority or use the service for unlawful work.

3. Cleaner responsibilities

Cleaners are the service provider and merchant of record for the services, packages and extras they sell. They are responsible for service quality, punctuality, staff or subcontractors, supplies, taxes, invoices, insurance and all licences, registrations, employment checks and health and safety duties required where they operate. Verification badges describe checks completed by RentACleaner and are not a guarantee of future conduct or service quality.

Payments are made as direct charges to the cleaner's Stripe connected account. Cleaners must monitor that account, respond to disputes and chargebacks, provide evidence, communicate with the customer, and fund refunds, disputed amounts, dispute fees and other provider charges allocated to their account. RentACleaner may relay information, restrict payment or listing access, or initiate a permitted refund, but does not assume the cleaner's dispute obligations or guarantee an outcome.

4. Bookings, access and service

Customers must provide accurate service-location, property and access information and disclose relevant hazards, pets or restrictions. Cleaners must use that information only to deliver the booked service. The agreed scope, duration and any supplied materials are shown before payment or confirmed through marketplace messages.

5. Payments, packages and cancellations

Prices, fees and cancellation terms are shown before confirmation. Stripe processes card payments for the cleaner and pays RentACleaner an application fee. Packages can be redeemed only with the cleaner and under the conditions shown at purchase. Refunds and cancellations follow the displayed policy and any consumer rights that cannot be excluded by local law.

6. Conduct and safety

Do not misuse messaging, impersonate others, evade payment, discriminate unlawfully, submit illegal material, damage property or place anyone at risk. Customers and cleaners can block another user and report a booking-related incident. Contact local emergency services first where there is immediate danger.

7. Changes and contact

We will present material changes for account acceptance. Mandatory consumer rights in your country continue to apply. Questions can be sent through Help and support.
